What are solid surfaces? If you're looking to create a distinctive design in your kitchen, you may want to consider the option of solid surface for your countertops. Solid surface countertops are made from solid synthetic sheets formed by mixing mineral compound with polyester or acrylic resins. The material is solid color throughout. It is non-porous and naturally resistant to many stains. Should you stain, burn or scratch the surface, you can normally sand it off. Solid surface countertops come in a wide variety of patterns and colors.
 
Avonite

Corian

QUARTZ - What is quartz?
Engineered-quartz surfacing is manufactured with approximately 93 percent natural quartz, which rates a 7 on Moh's scale of hardness. Only topaz, sapphire, and diamond have higher ratings. Quartz surfacing is, therefore, highly scratch- and chip-resistant and is impervious to many chemicals, including common acids and household cleaners. Plus, quartz surfaces can tolerate temperatures up to 400 degrees F. without burning, though most manufacturers recommend hot pads or trivets to prevent a hot pot from causing thermal shock, which can crack the surface. Quartz products are available to you are as follows:
  • Zodiaq
     Zodiaq is created by the combination of quartz crystals and Dupont technology. It is a durable and practical product. Unlike granite, it never needs sealing.
  • Caesarstone
    Caesarstone quartz surfaces are non-porous and never needs sealing. It is resistant to scratching and stains. Caesarstone surfaces are available in 36 designer styles.
  • Cambria
     Cambria quartz has diamond - like hardness. It is pure natural quartz. It's easy maintenance eliminates, sealing, polishing or reconditioning. Cambria will resist stains. It is available in a variety of designer colors.

Each granite slab will bring a feeling of luxury to your residential or commercial setting. Your granite should be sealed twice a year.
 
BATHROOM PRODUCTS
Our Marvel Marble cultured stone products are made by blending polyester resin, catalyst, fillers and pigments. Maintenance and care of Marvel Marble products is very easy. Routinely clean with a soft sponge or cloth and non-abrasive liquids or foam cleaners. Harsh abrasive cleaners are not recommended. For additional shine periodically apply a cleaner polish such as Gel GlossÒ or Johnson Multi-ShineÒ.
 
Cultured Marble, Cultured Granite and Cultured Onyx, as their names imply, have the look of genuine marble, granite and onyx. These products are manufactured by mixing a polymer resin with a filler/matrix. Colorants are added to the marble or onyx to produce the "veining" appearance of real stone. In cultured granite, a filler is added to give it the look of real granite stone. There a variety of colors available that can be easily used in your bathroom for tub/shower surrounds, vanity tops with or without sinks, wainscote, and shower pans. These products are also versatile for use as windowsills, facing fireplaces, hearth surfaces and tabletops. There are no cracks or crevices in these products for mildew to accumulate or potential leaks. We use high quality silicone sealant to seal the seams. Culture marble, onyx and granite products easily meet nationally recognized standards to resist stains, scratching, burns and heat.
